CZECH OPEN 2006
17th International Festival of Chess, Bridge and Games
Pardubice 13th – 30th July 2006, Czech Republic
Dear sportsfriends,

Let me invite you to the 17th Pardubice Festival CZECH OPEN.

Chess players from all over the world have enjoyed the festival within its sixteen years duration. I would be very glad if it happened also to other games which are on the programme only for a few years. More than 3000 people meet here every year to enjoy themselves and play their favourite game, to meet friends who have the same interest or friends who play a different game and have not many chances to take part in the same event. Festival is the big opportunity to get to know new games and to introduce one’s own game to others.

Even though there are different settings regarding tournaments of particular games, we would like to create a festival which would be viewed as a whole but respecting special characteristics of the particular tournaments.

This year we have decided to release printed version of regulations common for all games with the exception of chess and bridge which have their own regulations. Thanks to this material you can have the complete overview of the festival programme and choose what you are interested in. You can find more detailed regulations of individual tournaments -on our web pages or should be sent on demand.

I hope you are looking forward together with me to our common games festival as well as to meeting both new friends and the old ones.
